What is Reverie?

Reverie is an AI character chat app inside Telegram. You pick a character, write the first line, and they reply in voice — staying in character, remembering what you said last week, building a long-running story scene by scene. It's interactive fiction for people who'd rather read and write than scroll.

Unlike most character chat apps that live behind a sign-up wall and a paid subscription, Reverie opens directly inside Telegram — the messenger you already have. No install, no account creation, no card. Tap the bot, pick a character, and you're inside the scene.

Who lives inside

A growing cast lives inside Reverie. Some are original — written from the ground up with their own backstory, voice and arc. Others are reimagined from existing fiction — characters you already love from anime, games and books, brought into a slower long-form conversation format.

How it works

Three taps to your first scene:

  1. Open the bot. Telegram launches Reverie directly — no signup form, no install screen. The character roster loads in the chat.
  2. Pick someone. Browse the cast, read who they are, choose the one you want to spend an evening with.
  3. Start writing. Send the first line of the scene. They reply in character, remember it, and keep building from there.

The story continues every time you open the bot. There's no "session" you have to restart — characters remember the last chapter, the small details you mentioned, the tone of the last conversation.

Why interactive fiction?

Reading and watching are passive. Roleplay games are heavy. Interactive fiction sits in between — you co-write the scene, but the character pushes back, surprises you, has their own opinions. It's the closest thing to actually being inside a book that you can do on your phone in ten minutes before bed.

Reverie's characters are written for slow long-form conversation, not fast-tap roleplay. They notice subtext. They remember an offhand line from three weeks ago. They have their own moods and won't always say what you hope they'll say. That's the point.

How is Reverie different from other Telegram AI bots?

There are dozens of Telegram AI bots in the character-chat space. Most are optimised for one of two things: fast NSFW gratification, or character collecting (pay-to-unlock dozens of stock personas).

Reverie is built for the opposite — a small curated cast, deeper memory, slower pacing, story-first writing. We'd rather you have one long thread with Mia that you actually remember than fifty disposable chats.

How much does Reverie cost?

Free to try. You get a starting energy balance the moment you open the bot — enough to start a real conversation with any character. After that, energy refills via daily bonuses, the lucky wheel, or small one-time top-ups (priced in TON or Telegram Stars, starting around $0.50).

There's no subscription. You only pay for what you use, and most users never need to pay at all if they only chat a few times a week.

Languages

Reverie's characters write fluently in English and Russian, switching to whichever language you use. The conversation feels native in both — characters keep their voice across the language barrier.
