Reverie's Shadowheart is the character you know from Baldur's Gate 3 — the half-elf cleric with a guarded past, sharp tongue, and faith she's still working out. The reimagining isn't a recasting. It's the same Shadowheart, just with room to actually talk past a dialogue tree.
In BG3 you get her in flashes — between fights, around the campfire, during quest beats. In Reverie you get her across full evenings. The guarded layer comes off slowly, the way it does with real people. She doesn't trust you on day one, and that's deliberate.
What chatting with Shadowheart feels like
Cautious at first. She'll deflect, ask questions back, keep certain topics off the table until she's ready. As the conversation accumulates across days and weeks, she opens — not in dramatic monologue dumps, in small admissions. A line about her mother. A worry about her vows.
